Choosing your Concrete Contractor and acquiring quotes and estimates

Updated: Feb 27, 2019

Spring is right around the corner. The schedules are filling up fast for home improvement contractors across the city. If you are considering your next concrete home improvement around the house and want it done before May Long weekend or some other major spring holiday or event, consider to start planning now! There is no time "too early"

Get your estimate now for budgeting purposes. Your estimator may work within your budget once its made known and we can help you get the most for your money!

Consider your options when comparing estimates.

Compare apples to apples rather than apples to oranges. If one contractor is offering more for a greater price, or one less for a lower price, be sure to make your budgetary concerns and ultimate goals known. The best price typically isnt always going to be the best option in the end. Concrete is expensive no matter which way you look at it, having it done right the first time is going to be alot more cost effective than a second contractor having to come in and repair those mistakes that may have been made in the first attempt.

Compare experience being put to the task. Typically, a company with more experience will see obstacles and potential unrelated circumstances involved with a job and the price will reflect that, so ASK plenty of questions if anything is unclear in your proposal. Follow your gut feeling.

Check a company's reviews and reputation on sites like Yellow pages,Mysask 411, Trusted Pros, Google Business page reviews and Facebook to name a few. Save yourself the headache of paying to do the same job twice. Get it done the right way the first time and youll be worry free for the life of the concrete.

Lastly and in my opinion most importantly, chose a contractor who is honest and upfront. We are transparent with all of customers from day 1. We will explain to you what can happen, and what can be done if and when it does happen, there is no need to hide from it and by this we mean cracks, chips and pits etc. Our concrete cracks, just like every other contractors and we will never tell you otherwise. A contractor should manage expectations, convey the truth and educates their customers on both the positive and possible negative aspects about the product and service they are about to sell you. You should feel comfortable with the contractor you select to carry out the work at your home or business.

You should also consider asking about any warranties and additional support and maintenance options associated with your concrete project.
